Jackie Spegele, the founder of Numeric Strategies, LLC is a licensed CPA (Certified Public Accountant) and taxation specialist. She has earned her Master’s in Accounting with an emphasis in Taxation from Northern Illinois University and a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Bradley University. Jackie has worked exclusively in public accounting since 1987 and has worked in a variety of offices, small single office locations and large national and regional size firms, across the country. Like many people in the area, Jackie has ties to the military community and understands not only the lifestyle but the tax considerations. Jackie’s husband, Joe, is a graduate of the Naval Academy and is currently an active duty Navy Captain. Living in Colorado has always been a dream for the family. So after many years of living in various states and overseas, when Joe was assigned to Peterson Air Force Base in 2010 the family was delighted. They are so proud to call Colorado their home. Their son recently graduated from University of Colorado in Boulder majoring in Civil Engineering and now lives in Grand Junction. Their daughter is studying sign language through University of Northern Colorado and aspires to be an ASL Interpreter. Jackie is currently serving on the Board of Directors for the Colorado Chapter of NATP. Some of Jackie’s many hobbies include skiing, horses, hiking and flying.
Nolan Gookin has been a source of accounting knowledge and experience in Monument since 2002. He has been working in the Colorado community since 1971; upon completion of his Bachelor of Science in Accounting. The transition from Nolan D. Gookin, P.C. to Numeric Strategies, LLC is designed to allow Nolan a transitional path from the responsibility of sole ownership and intensely long hours to facilitator and expert consultant. Libby Radosevich has been a public accounting Office Manager and payroll specialist for over a decade. She has ensured the timely compliance of payroll services, quality bookkeeping and accurate bank reconciliations for Nolan D. Gookin, P.C. and has continued to service all our clients as we operate as the Numeric Strategies team. Libby has been a part of Colorado and the Tri-Lakes area since the 1970’s and is well know and respected by many local residences and businesses.
Carol Boyer is involved in many aspects of the business. She is one of our tax preparers with over 30 years of experience in taxes and running her own business. She holds the distinction of a licensed Enrolled Agent (EA) from the IRS. In March of 2014, Carol focused her many years of investment and security knowledge when she passed The Series 65 exam to be an Investment Advisor. Carol also assists us with analyzing current market conditions and helps us develop our marketing activities. We find Carol to be a true asset at Numeric Strategies.
Sharon Davis is a QuickBooks ProAdvisor, as certified by Intuit. She is involved year-round in client bookkeeping, payroll tasks and office administrative functions. During tax season Sharon is also involved with the processing and assembling of tax documents for our clients. A former business owner and bookkeeper for her own construction company she is familiar with the needs of local small business owners. Her awareness of client needs and operations help to ensure a harmonious flow in the office.
Christine Caldwell is a graduate of the University of Colorado in Boulder and holds a Master of Science in Accounting and is licensed as a CPA in the state of Colorado. Christine is not only a consultant to the firm, but works with us very closely during Numeric Strategies busiest months preparing returns for several of our business and individual clients. Christine is versed in all aspects of accounting including budgets, cash flow forecasting, bank reconciliation, payroll and accounts payable. Her level of expertise and technical advice is enjoyed by our clients and staff alike.
Scott Hamilton is a CPA licensed in Colorado and experienced in public accounting. He has experience with developing budgets and forecasting to provide a clear road map for financial stability and ongoing operations for a variety of interests including not-for-profit organizations, small business owners’ and large corporations. As a prior small business owner himself, he prepared government reports, monitored cash flow and daily operations to ensure viability as a franchise owner of a national store. His success as an accountant followed a full career in the US Air Force where he developed valuable management experience before retiring as a Lieutenant Colonel. Scott joined our team in August 2014 as a consultant and tax preparer.
